Submission Process 2017

SPECIAL NOTE: For 2017 we have updated the submission process. we now require tyou to submit a brief  “Intent to Submit” information form in advance, no later than September 15.  The detailed application form can be submitted along with your game and supporting materials through the final deadline of September 18.

1Read the Rules:  Most of the questions that we get every year are clearly answered in the 2017 Official Rules.  Please take the time to read all of the Rules and understand what is required of you as a submitter.  This would also be a good time to read special guidelines for submissions to the Mobile and Students’ Choice categories.

2 Complete the Online "Intent to Submit": The “Intent to Submit” form (implemented through the web application SurveyMonkey) provides SGS&C with notice that you intend to submit a game to the Challenge. With this information, we can prepare the upload site for your game in advance so there is no delay in your ability to submit to the Challenge. Refer to the Sample Intent to Submit Form to gather the required information and develop your answers, and when you are ready, enter everything into the Online Application Form.

3Complete the Online Application Form: The Application Form (implemented through the web application SurveyMonkey) is very important.  It is your chance to tell us about your game, and it is used in the judging process to better understand what your game is about and for whom it is intended.  Refer to the Instructions and the Sample Application Form to gather the required information                and develop your answers, and when you are ready, enter everything into the Online Application Form.

4Pay the Entry Fee (Business entries only): All Business Entries must pay an Entry Fee of $250 to National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA). Government and Student entries may submit for free.

5Get the Checklist and Declaration documents: The Checklist contains a list of all the items that make your game submission complete and eligible for the judging process.  The  Declaration Form is important and releases your game for use in the Serious Games Showcase & Challenge.  We must have an actual signature on the Declaration Form.  A scanned copy of the signed document               is acceptable.

6Upload your game and supporting content: A Confirmation email will be sent that includes details on how to upload your submittal package including the game, video, screenshots, high resolution logo and signed Declaration Form to the SGS&C game upload site. Make sure you review the Checklist and submit all required items.

Direct any questions about the forms or for guidance on the submissions process to SGSChallenge@gmail.com.
