Skills and Ideas Taught: The seven most commonly used tools in continuous process improvement.
Goal or Challenge: Players must identify the appropriate use of continuous process improvement tools in a factory based assembly line setting in order to save the earth from impending smiting.
Primary Audience: Acquisition related professionals, systems engineers, quality control analysts.
Assessment Approach: Players are presented with various situations; then quizzed about which tool would be appropriately used in that circumstance. Players are immediately provided with feedback, in form of negative or positive consequence. If they answer correctly, they make more missiles than turkeys!
Description: Invasion Prevention Corporation’s Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) Trainer allows players to save mankind while serving as a quality control analyst at the Invasion Prevention Corporation, a factory tasked with building enough missiles to protect the earth from an impending alien attack. In order make enough missiles to defeat those pesky aliens, players will have to know when it is appropriate to implement the 7 tools of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). If they successfully identify which tool should be used when faced with a variety of situations commonly associated with a factory assembly line, they will stop producing turkeys and toasters and start making missiles!
