Description: CodAR is an Augmented Reality(AR) based serious game that teaches computer programming skills.

Skills and Ideas Taught: By playing CodAR, players are introduced to the basic concepts of computer programming such as sequence, functions and iterative codes (loops).

Goal: The goal of CodAR is to help the game primary caracter (a bunny) collect all of the carrots in a given level is achieved by logically arranging the play cards sequentially to control the bunny’s movement. This process mimics the development of actual code snippets so that learners are learning to code by winning the game.

Primary Audience: Learners 12 years and older.

Assessment Approach: Using Game Learning analytics, including highest game level unlocked, number of tries for each level, progress in each level, and time to complete, the game measures learning outcomes. Players receive feedback as they play through each level.
